Fiorina Kyritsi, MD

Fiorina Kyritsi, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and practices Internal Medicine. Prior to becoming the Medical Director at the Mount Sinai Health Center at Credit Suisse, Dr. Kyritsi worked as a primary care provider for the Mount Sinai Doctors in Queens, and was the site director for the Ambulatory Care-Geriatrics Medical Student Clerkship. A native of Volos, Greece, Dr. Kyritsi received her medical degree from the University of Thessaly. She was valedictorian of her medical school class and went on to do a year of research at the university’s pediatric laboratory. When her mother was diagnosed with a heart condition and sought treatment in the United States, Dr. Kyritsi was impressed by the state-of-the-art medical practice, professionalism and compassion of the doctors she encountered here. Inspired to apply for medical residency in the U.S., she spent a year doing cardiac research at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C. before completing a residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University (Washington D.C.) and trained in Hematology and Oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (Washington D.C.). Dr. Kyritsi treats patients with a wide range of medical conditions, providing personalized primary care services with an emphasis on preventative medicine and general wellness. In addition to providing supportive care, Dr. Kyritsi also promotes cancer survivorship by helping patients adjust to life after treatment and coordinating follow-up medical care. She values forming long-term relationships with patients and helping them to live longer and healthier lives.

Nicholas Cariddo, APN-BC, MSN, MA, BSN

Through his twenty-three years of health care experience, Nick has treated a wide range of clinical conditions, with an emphasis on treating endocrine and cardiology conditions. He believes in the interconnectivity of the mind and body and enjoys working with individuals to create personalized plans to facilitate optimum physical and mental health. He enjoys spending time with his two teenage daughters, running, and in the very late night hours, writing fiction and screenplays. Nick obtained his bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University, his master’s degree from Monmouth University, and is board certified in Adult Health.

 

Andrew Megginson, PT, DPT

Andrew is a movement professional. In his personal life, he excelled as a professional modern dance performer in New York City for 10 years. During that time, Andrew gained deep knowledge of the human body’s capacity for movement. He believes learning is a lifetime pursuit, not a destination, and has practiced the Trager Approach, taught Pilates and continues to learn from The North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy’s (NAIOMT), a manual approach that blends the best of all methods and concentrates on biomechanics, mobilization/manipulation and the interaction of the extremity with the spine. He brings special focus to posture and gait in his work.

Vanessa Valdes, PT, DPT, OCS, LAC

Vanessa is motivated to deliver relief to her patients suffering musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. As a child, she saw her mother regain function and reduce pain with physical therapy, and now relays that healing to her patients. Versed in the assessment and treatment of myofascial trigger points, Vanessa is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. In her spare time, Vanessa is a member of the New York Aquarium volunteer SCUBA team and an avid open water long distance swimmer. She recently swam between Europe and Asia by crossing the Hellespont during summer 2019.

Sarah Bloch-Elkouby, PhD

Sarah Bloch-Elkouby, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than a decade of experience in individual, couple, family, and group therapy. She specializes in anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, trauma, and personality disorders, and follows a flexible mindset that integrates different evidence-based treatment approaches (e.g., psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and humanistic) tailored to her clients’ needs and preferences. Dr. Bloch-Elkouby is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where she supervises the psychological services in an adult and geriatric inpatient unit, trains psychology trainees and psychiatry residents, and conducts research on psychotherapy and self-harm.

Alexis Briggie, PhD

Dr. Alexis Briggie is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and relationship issues, as well as substance use and other compulsive behaviors. She treats a wide range of additional issues including but not limited to depression, life transitions, self-esteem, stress, and work/life balance. She has specialized training in evidenced-based treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based therapies. She utilizes an individualized and collaborative approach, helping each client delineate their unique path towards change. Dr. Briggie is also a Supervising Psychologist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel on an inpatient unit focused on the treatment of addictive and co-occurring disorders. She provides clinical service, training and supervising psychology and psychiatry trainees, and maintaining a faculty practice. She completed her doctoral degree at Adelphi University and her clinical internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Briggie has been in practice for five years.
